When you create an account we collect your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. When you create a memorial we collect the biographical details you provide about the deceased, along with your stated relationship to them. When you place an order we collect shipping address and payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card numbers).
Visitors who interact with memorial pages may also provide information: tribute and comment authors provide their name and message (displayed publicly on the memorial), and visitors who subscribe to remembrance reminders provide their email address.
Memorial pages are public by default and can be found by anyone with the URL or QR code. If you wish to make a memorial private, contact us at contact@graivercode.com and we will assist you.
Memorial pages are hosted indefinitely at no cost. Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting contact@graivercode.com.
We use essential cookies required to keep you signed in and maintain your session. On certain pages of our website (such as our homepage, shop, and informational articles — but never on memorial pages or during checkout), we may display advertisements served by Google AdSense.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
We are committed to keeping memorial pages for private individuals and recent losses completely free of advertising. Advertisements will never appear on a memorial page for a private individual, or for any person who passed away within approximately the last ten years. We may display advertisements only on memorial pages for well-known public or historical figures whose deaths occurred more than ten years ago, where the page functions as a reference resource rather than a space for active grieving.
We use Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for database hosting and authentication, Netlify for website hosting, Resend for transactional email, Google for optional sign-in, Anthropic's Claude AI for generating memorial text you request and for content moderation, and Google AdSense for advertising on select pages. Each of these providers maintains their own privacy policies and security standards.
When you use our memorial creation tools, the biographical details you provide may be processed by an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) to help draft the memorial text and to check submitted comments and tributes for harmful content. This information is used only to provide these features and is not used by us to train AI models.
GraiverCode is not directed at children. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we hold about you. We honor such requests regardless of your location. We do not sell personal information.
